An easy drinking pint. Our Irish Red Ale has a deep-amber, light-copper appearance from crystal and black malts included in the recipe. The malt focus gives this beer caramel, toffee and toasty notes and a slight dry, roasted-grain finish. The hops provide a moderate level of bitterness. This product is designed to be used with 1.0-1.5 kg (2.2-3.3lbs) of WilliamsWarn® Light Dry Malt Extract and water to make 23/25 litres (6 US gallons/5 Imp. Gallons) of wort. Ferment at 18-28ºC / 64-77ºF (ideally near the middle of this range) Original Gravity of 1.045 (11.25°P), fermented to a Final Gravity of about 1.011 (2.80°P), resulting in 4.5% alcohol by volume, 23 Bitterness Units and 13 SRM/26 EBC colour.
